Drum'N'Bass for a fucked up place! Now with added Dubstep Yo!

Apr 2009

DJ of the Month: April 2009 Matt Sellers, a.k.a Thorne! Currently in his third year of study of Graphic Design at the University of the Creative Arts, Thorne is our second entry from the sleepy town of Farnham, Surrey. After mixing for over 3 years its safe to say he has found his feet within drum and bass, taking modern minimal liquid and splicing them with deep heavy hitting rollers, whilst all the while sticking to his roots in neurofunk and techstep.

DJ Arkaik

DJ Arkaik Mar 2009

DJ of the Month: March 2009 He loves drum’n'bass, paints, designs, helps the kids, runs dnb events and of course DJs. So a young diverse and educational chap does exactly that – mixing between the cold sober classics and new head nodders. A prefect winner for this months DJ of the Month.

Rhetorik

Rhetorik Feb 2009

DJ of the Month: February. He grew up listening to Hip Hop and Rock but in the past few years, D&B has taken over his life. The new music he’s listening to now is almost exclusively Drum & Bass. From liquid to ragga to jump up, he likes to mash up all different styles in his sets.

DJ Egg

DJ Egg Jan 2009

Dubstep entry number 2.. and its a heavy hitter. More info soon come. Link now up so download now!

Shrubsoul

Shrubsoul Dec 2008

Shrubsoul has been DJing and collecting music for well over a decade now.

Finding his feet in the Drum&Bass scene of the mid/late nineties, working with Guildford’s Tydirium/C4C crew, playing at the local free parties, with regular visits to the original Headz Blue Note Sunday Sessions.

Chris Dub

Chris Dub Nov 2008

Sometime CD’s just turn up at our yard with a tracklisting and no contact details (or maybe you lost them Jez ;) ) Anyway we have no idea about this one, apparently he won DJ of the Month before but we don’t remember as we smoke too much. In one ear out the other as it were. Anyway Chris if your reading this geeza get in touch, you’ve won some free beats mate. We tried e-mailing you and stalking you on Myspace but to no avail.

Subvicious

Subvicious Oct 2008

We all like Break, but 10 Breaks tunes in one hour? Damn… I thought it was too many but Subvicious shows his selection is vicious and rolling and pulls it off nicely. Its one hell of a neuro affair…

Over D

Over D Sep 2008

Old Skool mentalities, b-boy breaks, future funk - its all here. A tidy blend of industrial rollers that makes me screw my face up. Some of the reece and bass noises in this tracklisting are the finest out there, a clean distinction of true drum and bass as it should be; raw, real and damn right deep.

DJ Badger

DJ Badger Aug 2008

Hailing from the Garden of England, Badger fills his new home Southampton with the sweet smell of DnB.
